Do Fabia vrs sunroof not open if it's rained?

I recently bought a 2004 Fabia vrs with a sunroof, it was working fine until I tried it today in the rain & it won't open. Do they like auto lock it it's rained or is raining? If not why is it doing this? Not a big problem as its nearly winter now just curious. Thanks!

I'm not aware of it having been done, but it should be possible using the same technologies as rain sensing wipers.
