I am reading the posts with interest but there does seem to be a lot of abbreviation going on.

 

For example in the header of this forum - New MQB, well I didn't know there was an old MQB and don't know what MQB is anyway, also VCDS and others.

 

Would anyone be so kind as to point me in the direction of the glossary or maybe create on.

I cannot remember the letters but in essence it is the common design platform that the VW group use in several ranges of cars as it can be stretched or shortened as required to suit various models.

MQB = Modularer Querbaukasten in German = Modular Transversal Toolkit or Modular Transverse Matrix in English
