skoda dodgy wiring

Featured Replies

i had a small problem or so i thought at first lol with my number plate bulbs not working, so i checked bulbs all ok check the fuse number 36 its ok, i then started to look at wiring and i found on mine skoda saloon that the wiring between the boot and boot lid had broke its attached to left side boot hinge, actually out of the six wires only the earth was still good. you have to slide the rubber ends off the outer which are tight but it will come away, i then pulled the cables out and back to rear tail light and inside boot lid and replace with better cable in the middle and soldered back in. i can easily see  how these cars have electrical problems as this must of been upsetting the ecu with shorts etc, might be worth you all checking this cable section.
