How can I lock the doors, and disconnect the battery without alarm going off?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am trying to disconnect my battery for recharging but can't lock the doors before doing so, and without the alarm going off. It appears the only way is with the doors unlocked. However the problem is I can't lock other doors except the driver's with the key after disconnecting the battery.

Any suggestions please.

I'm not technically minded but if you lock the doors with the remote with the bonnet open then disconnect the battery would that not work? If my bonnet is open and I lock up then it doesn't go off.

Sorry if I have misunderstood.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried that and alarm still goes off.

Meh, sorry. I don't know where the siren is to disconnect it. I'm scratching my head! Can you remove the fuse for the alarm?

Hold the drivers exterior door handle open and press the door lock button on the centre console, once locked release the door handle and firmly close the door.
