Rant - Peeling paint work on 6 week old 'approved' used Octy from dealer

Featured Replies

Anyone help please?

Does the 12 month warranty you get for buying a used Skoda from a dealer cover paint/bodywork?

I've just finished washing my car that I've only had for 6 weeks and the paint work was literally peeling off on the sill at the rear of the car by the rear reflectors.and I mean peeling off..........

Depends on how old it is and whether certain areas have been resprayed or not

I had my spoiler done by skoda foc in summer

Not sure how long the paint work lasts

Looks like paint has been blown in by one of these chips away like firms. Been sprayed to make the car look respectable to sell

Don't mention the pressure washer

Take it back

Factory finish wont do that. its definately an area thats been previously painted, and poorly prepped. to be fair, it may not have been done by the dealer, indeed they may not even have been aware of it.

worth a try taking it back in, but i wouldnt be suprised if they said no. (and definately dont mention the pressure wash!). good luck.

Yep, as above take it back and ask them to sort it.

Another vote here for not mentioning the jet wash.
