this site and firefox/IE 6

Featured Replies

does anyone else have problems with the site loading up with IE? absalutley flies if i open with firefox.pages can take quite a while to open with IE.

this isn't since the recent changes either.is this a site software thing or is it just me?

Checked your cache size etc? Defaults of IE are lunatic amounts of disc space, which may be a factor.

Not used IE much other than for work purposes but that tends to be the reason :(

and of course dont forget that firefox is a faster browser then ie6 anyway

I find firefox works very well with it.

Just use Firefox, you know its the ways to go, apart from the smilies dont work any more ;-(

For both browsers try pressing CTRL and F5 at the same time, this should clear your cache and others have reported it fixing small issues such as smilies.

If you have Firefox and it works, why are you still using IE at all

Very much agreed. Slow old browser vs fast new browser. No contest

I'd been using Firefox for a while but it seems to make my PC more prone to crashing (no idea why) so I'm back on IE6 and it runs much better. Perhaps I should try Netscape instead...

All I can say is make sure your firefox is up to date and stop browsing dodgy websites.

I'm using IE6 here - no problems apart from "last" still doesn't go to last page and layout still does my head in :D

Dodgy? ME?? ;)

Have you considered if you're trying to log on at the times when the Brisky backup is done? I'm not sure if they are still at the same time following the re-vamp. (Was 3am and 3pm for about half an hour.)

I had a problem yesterday morning (Sunday) when my login was not remembered on opening new windows and a couple of pages hung thus requiring restart, but that was a one-off occasion. Not smart enough to know if that was to do with the site or an ISP problem on my side though.
