Having taken my new Polo in to my Volkswagen dealer for the 5th time since March for a yet another fault, (interior lights this time); the car is now telling me it will require a oil change in a months time!

 

Now I know that sometimes the service indicators sometimes come on early, but 3500 miles does seem a bit extreme!

 

What could be the cause of this? My driving pattern is no different to when I had my pervious Fabia. The car has done about 6500 miles and the oil consumption is non exsistant.

 

 

Do you mean you expected to have to get a Oil & Filter Service done at 10,000 miles? (Minor / Fixed Service)

 

Some info would help.  

Is it a 'New' and not yet Serviced so running the Long Life Oil it left the factory with?

Was it New in March 2015?

 

Was it supposed to be set on Variable Servicing.

or did you want it on Fixed / Annual Servicing @ 9,400 miles / 372 days, which ever comes first.?

Was the car 'New' & First Registered in Feb or March 2015, or pre registered from December 2014, & had a PDI then?

 

Get the Dealership to sort out what ever was done wrong at the PDI / Delivery,

or what ever has been done wrong or gone wrong since.

 

Maybe get a Technician to explain what the fault is, 

not some Service Desk Employee.
