Aftermarket Pioneer Headunit in 2011 octavia 2 FL

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am trying to install an aftermarket Pioneer Appradio2 sph-da100 head unit in my Octavia.

I bought the Pioneer adapter CA-R-PI.221 (I think it is the first version, but it is mentioned on it it should work with gold mk5) which should make use of the steering wheel controls.

the headunit starts on contact on and powers off when i pull the key out.

the problem is that no controls work whatsoever and neither the display or changing temperature and airflow settings.

Is there anything I should do more than just connecting the adapter between the car and headunit? I tried disconnecting the negative pole from the battery for 10 minutes.

any idea is greatly appreciated.
