Can you separate the glass/rear of a front fog/driving light unit.....

Featured Replies

....or are they completely sealed?

I ask because I've just hit a bird on the motorway and its snapped one of the location tabs on the back of the fog/driving light unit. Lens etc is fine, just the rear moulding broken (if that makes sense).

Initial look seems to suggest it's a sealed unit which can't be bypassed/forced apart :(

If it can't - recommendations on best place to buy a replacement please? It has the turn option too.....

Many thanks,

Dave

They are sealed, but if they are like the headlights they can be put in the oven (to soften the glue) and prized off...

The problem with doing this though is that you can't buy the lens or rear housing seperately, so you may as well replace the whole lot.

Looking at your signature you have the seperate DRL's so will need the later design.

Loads on eBay (in the UK though), I'd stick to genuine ones if you can...
