My Handbrake lever on my 2010 VRS Octavia has become very stiff to use.

I think the problem lies with the rubber guide that it sits in.

I've tried spraying with WD40 but it seems to be a fault lower down maybe the rubber guide runs on a spool device.

Any help would be much appreciated.
