Just had the vRS serviced today, 10 000 miles.

i was quoted 128 for an 'annual' at furrows Oswestry. (Although I only need an oil - 10k service) Seemed pretty cheap tho !

unfortunately it's about the going rate, my old bmw was cheaper to service. would be ok if my dealer here in the tunbridge wells area wasn't so awfull (unhelpfull, rude and useless in the workshop).

There are two possible 10k services.

The first is the lube - effectively the oil change and a few other bits.

The second is the annual inspection which includes the lube.

I agree about tunbridge wells!! I went there just for small warranty issue and they covered my perfect seats in oil and scratched my dash......never going near them again!

Paid £130 for the annual in March this year. Good service from Gorner Warrington (now Ashton-in-Makerfield).

You should have done your first service in 5000 miles.

?? First service is due at 10k, not 5k ?!

Mine cost 180ish quid including a courtesy car (which IIRC was about 20 quid). IMHO that was a total ripoff though and it was the 'cheapo' one. Reason it worked out that expensive was the hourly rate. I still don't think it was right.

The 20k service is even more, but at least they'll do some real checks for that...

Paid £126 for annual on Sept 1st....not bad I thought.

I dont know what you consider for first service but I was thinking of oil change(only) and that should be done first time at 5000 miles. That's what tdiclub says and also my dealer.

May well be different in Serbia Skoda UK specify 10k miles or annually, whichever comes sooner

First service is indeed oil change, filter change, and it's at 10000 miles. Service interval is 10000 miles - it may be different in Serbia though, although I must admit it's a little strange that there is a difference :confused:

You have much better fuel than US and Serbia and that could be the reason for our shorter service intervals(manual in US also says first service in 5000 miles). http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?p=464223
