Confused with 2007 superb HU

Featured Replies

Hi!

First of all, let me go ahead and say sorry for being a newb.

I just bought my first Skoda yesterday. It's a used Superb, 2007, 2.0tdi. Immediately, karma got to me and i got punished for not doing my homework well -I, too, have the infamous problem with the water leaks messing with my interior lights. But that's not the problem - hopefully I get that fixed on monday.

My concern is that my navigation seems not to be working. I have no idea what kind of head unit I have, so google is helpless. I snapped some pictures tho.

This is what my HU looks like:

And I have this cd with it:

Whenever I enter the cd, I tet stuck on this message:

The message never goes away and the navi isn't working. My theories:

A) Not working because it's a german map cd

B) Not working because a damaged cd maybe?

C) HU is faulty.

I would like to try it with another cd, but it boggles my mind - havent found a single cd with european maps on it. Since i don't know the make and model of the HU, maybe that curbs my progress with finding them. Kindly point me to the right direction.

Do any of you have any ideas what should be done? Any help is welcome!

isnt the make and model of the headunit a "Blaupunkt Travel Pilot DX" as on the disc?

sorta corresponds with the DX on the headunit too.

although i cant see any European discs, just ones for the UK on ebay, and they arent really cheap enough to try for a punt at £60 a pop.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you may wish to read up on the oil pump problems the 2.0 140BHP MKI Superb’s suffer with as well!
