80k Service

Featured Replies

I have done a quick search on here and Google. But nothing tells me what is due on an 80k Service. Car is only on 64k. Any ideas?

You really need to check the service book if you have it.

This details the time and mileage intervals for the required components:

Oil

Oil Filter

Air Filter

Fuel Filter

Pollen Filter

Spark Plugs (petrol only)

Brake Fluid (at 3 years then every 2 years)

Cambelt & Waterpump (where fitted)

Thanks. Brake fluid done last year as 4% moisture. Cambelt due next year according to mileage and time of last one.

What about gearbox fluid?

Yep, the only two items to add to that list above is...

DSG oil (automatic only)

Haldex oil (4x4 only)

If yours is a manual then Skoda claim the gearbox oil is sealed for life.

I had the gearbox oil swapped out on my manual by a Skoda dealer a few years ago and it made a noticeable difference to the notchy gear change. The cost was about £60 but this was a while ago now.
