What is ideal current drawn while all doors closed and key not inserted?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have Skoda Octavia pre FL AT and it draws 400mA current in standby mode (door closed and key not inserted) is it normal? I tried removing Radio and AMP fuse but no change.

What should be ideal current drawn for  Skoda Octavia pre FL AT ?

This may be of use to you. It doesn't answer your exact question, but suggests that if you can arrange it so you measure current from the battery when all doors and bonnet are closed, locked, and left untouched for two hours, you should be seeing 40mA max.

It also describes a novel way of measuring which circuit might be problematic if this criterion is breached.

Thanks Wino.. Initially it was 40-50 mA, utilization went down to 4-6mA after 10-15 min.

Thanks.

it may be interesting to repeat your measurements whilst also checking the voltage as well,  I believe the management system starts turning things off @12.2volts   but have not confirmed this   I did ask on the dash cams post but didn't get a response
