Octavo front suspension

Featured Replies

About a year back had new front offside suspension and spring fitted couple of months later a slight creak started thought nothing of it now a year later any type of road I'm on sounds really loud creak. I've had the car up in the air but can't see anything lose or leaking not that I know what I'm looking for. Can anyone advise please before I take to the garage??

The lower arm front rubber bush will be creaking.

When they removed the shocker to fit the spring they will have left the hub carrier resting on the lower arm while they swapped the spring over (instead of putting a jack or axle stand under it to support it).

This pushes the arm down twisting the small rubber bush and causing it to prematurely wear. If you grease it the noise will go for a while + confirm that it is that bush.

You can replace the bush but a special tool is needed to get the bush in. If you buy the complete lower arm it will come with a new bush

I don't suppose you can find a picture of the bush so I can locate it under my car?
