Fabia VRS intercooler pipes

Featured Replies

Hi all, recently bought a fabia vrs, unfortunately all the intercooler pipes are cable tied together and leaking loads of boost.

After searching, ive found that in order to replace the top pipework, ill need;

90 degree silicone bend

75 degree intercooler pipe

45 degree silicone bend to attach to the top of the side mount intercooler.

I was looking at the below universal kit, does this kit seem okay to fit, as its pipes are 2.25"? I also want to use the rest of the pipework to replace the lower oem intercooler pipes.

Would the below kit fit onto the original side mount intercooler fine?

Ebay item number;

Thans for the link, thats where I got the above info from lol On that link, 2" intercooler pipes are used, however the kit ive found on ebay are 2.25", I was just wondering if this would be of any issues..?

Truth be told its better to fit a fmic with pipe work supplied. You cant polish a turd,  and the plastic leaky side mount inter cooler is a big turd. You will spend near £200 all in with pipework/ silicon/ t clamps, for top and bottom, then still find its leaking onto the plastic turd side inter cooler.

I will have my diy lower setup for sale soon. As I'm fitting a airtech front mount

Yeah ive been looking at fmic set ups, theyre just so expensive :-( lol

How much would you sell your diy pipework for dubdub?

Suggest renew all pipe-work seals and with some silicone sealer to help.

Some member's have also drilled and placed/screwed in self-tapping screws to help hold-in place.
