Amundsen Plus Sat Nav Updates for 2012 Octavia

Featured Replies

Hello.

I recently bought a used 2012 Octavia 1.4 SE Plus which came with an Amundsen Plus sat nav. I have been trying to get the system updated and have even contacted Skoda UK and Auto Express magazine.

It seems £250 for an SD Card that may not be very up-to-date is the only way to update the system.

But in recent correspondence with the Skoda dealer in Exeter I found out a fresh update may be coming out in the new year.

Please help! Can I get this sat nav up-to-date, preferably without parting with £250?!

And is it an SD Card or a CD to update it?

Thank you for any help offered.

Your options for maps update are dealer supplied sd card only. Any other update method will not work, and the card must be brand new and unused. If it's been used before then it's locked to the machine it's been used on.

There are ebay sellers who can supply genuine dealer supplied sd cards at less than the cost of the main dealers (generally from Germany so I believe) but those are your only options.
