Suddenly has decided to stop working..Use it for chargers not cigars incase you were wandering.

 

Anyway question is does the socket just pull out of the plastic fitting for the centre console as I've tried prising it out and it don't seem to want to budge.

Check the fuse. Happened to mine last week.

Fuse 42.

Cheers buddy, yeah fuse blown only got a 10amp so whacked that in for the time being.

No probs. Glad you saved the achey balls of changing it.

It's a pain in the butt to change, press metal nibbits in and push plastic out at same time, don't forget to disconnect before attempting this... but first check the fus... Oh u did 

Was it just mine or are the plastic tabs that hold it in place super tight?! I tried to remove mine when i stripped the full interior out the car so had the center console on the work bench pushing the tabs closed and forcing out at the same time and it still wasnt coming out!
