My New R

Featured Replies

Like them or Loath them, I now have some protection - a DIY solution as VW do not OEM Mud Flaps for the R, total cost £10 plus bits I had already.

How is the R going for you?

Any new projects planned for 2017?

Health issues have/are precluded any further work on the R for a few months, but will likely be thinking of something to do in the Spring if all goes well.  Difficult at the moment as have other things on my mind

Mud flaps are holding up and doing their job, though the roads are extra dirty at this time of year.

Thanks for the wishes, doing OK now Polyps were benign and I have had both eyes done for Cataracts so I can see properly again but house and Garden projects keeping me busy - in the middle of building a Log Cabin at the moment.

R still purring, or roaring, depending on journey.  Its a truly great car even in standard form, safe, comfortable and quick when needed just cant seem to average more then 27mpg

Great to hear things have improved for you, onwards and upwards.

Afraid to say you are enjoying your Golf R mk7 stock to much, with all those Launch Controls lol , 27mpg that's  pretty good. Continue to ENJOY !!
