35% Window Tints

Featured Replies

Does anyone have pics of a 35% Window tint on an Octy?

I am booked in to have mine done tomorrow. I said I wanted the light 35% (I believe that this is the closest I will get to the Sunset Glass). He seemed quite surprised by my request and said that everyone goes for a medium 20%!

I've looked at pics and it seems pretty dark at 20% - Especially with my interior being black leather and the rest of the black interior.

I think I will stick to my guns and request the 35% but it's good to see pics if possible...

As long as there is 70% light coming through the front side windows they will be legal. If they are too dark it may become an expensive mistake if you are caught with too dark a tint. Are you getting a permanent tint or stick on?

Not having anything on the fronts and I'm aware of the legalities.... That's not what I asked.

What I'm after is someone that has had aftermarket tints to try and get the same look as the factory sunset glass option. I think 20% will be too dark.

I have the darkest possible option on all rear windows. Did it because of safety reasons - I hadn't boot cover and I didn't want anyone to be able to see my luggage.

It's fine and sun heats the car less than before too.

It's worse in nighttime, especially when driving backwards in  parking lot :D

I have the darkest as well. Limo black. Safety for the kids more than anything.

When reversing I use those shiny things on the side...
