dashboard lights advice please

Featured Replies

Hi we have a skoda fabia 3 auto petrol 2008. Lastnight the EPC and car skidding light came on and wont go off. Am after advice on whats up.... cheers! Have a photo but unsure if i can post pics.

Fabia 3 ?  2008 ??

If it's really a Fabia 3 (2014/15) then it sounds like a dealer/guarantee issue ??

Its an 2008 one

Welcome to the forum.

Maybe a Mod can move your question to the Fabia Mk2 Section.

george

You have a mk2 Fabia. The pre-facelift mk2 Fabia trim levels were 1, 2, and 3.

This should be moved into the Fabia II forum.

Ideally you need to scan the car with VCDS, as a number of different faults could cause that light to come up.

Find a local member with VCDS below, there a plenty dotted about the country :)

Ahha. Over the Fabia writing on the boot it has a number 3. My mistake!

Does anyone on The Wirral have a reader??

There are a few members not too far from you. :)

Thanks! Hopefully they read this and we can borrow their reader thing...

We changed the brake bulb a few months ago- but recently its gone again.couldd.tgus cause the dashboard warnings? Think there maybe a loose wire or dampness in brake wire area for it to keep stopping.

Got a photo to help us a little? ;)

Although the car as if it's "skidding" sounds like traction control.   Maybe a sensor.

And the little 3 at the top of the Fabia badge is the "spec" if remember correctly.

Is this what your's looks like from the front?

PM a member local to you with VCDS and ask them to do a scan.

A number of different issues could cause those lights to come up.

It could be something as simple as a fuse blown.
