Skoda Fabia 1.4 : Wont start and Beeps when lights are switched on

Featured Replies

Dear Skodian's

I have a Skoda Fabia 1.4 16V 2003 plate.

The car was ok today morning.

Evening, when i started the car it wont start, it tries to start and then it doesnt kick start.

When i switch the ignition on, usually, the lights on the instrument panel comes on and goes of.

This time it is not happening.

Again, when i switch on the headlight, it starts a continuous beeping sound.

Any clues??

Warm regards

Nebu

The headlight alarm is sounding because you've left the door open when switching them on.

Sounds like the battery may be flat or failing, now that it's just got cold it's not producing enough current to start the car, charge or replace the battery.

So, here goes the results.

The issue was down to one of the fuses that activates the instrument panel.

It was not set in properly.

I took each and every fuse and checked and found that this was loosely places.

replaced it and it was ok.
