How much?!

Featured Replies

Bloody hell, after the thread on a VRS called a 230 (??), I thought I'd try to find some picks of the decals that people are moaning about so I went on the OS... and the prices!! Admittedly it was 2008, but the equivalent of my car now is literally 50% more! Really?! That just sounds ridiculous. Have Skoda had a huge jump in price since they've become popular in the interim or something? No way I'd buy a new car like mine now at that price.

Back then Skoda were the cheapest vag brand. Now Seat is the cheapest vag brand so they have bumped the prices. Also remember to include inflation aswell (as low as it is)

Personaly I struggle to see how they can justify the price difference between Skoda and seat. VW's do have extra refinement as so do audi's so I can understand the price difference there but seat and skoda really should cost the same.

Like golf to octavia, superb to passat, etc. is there a direct correlation between all the Seat models and Skoda or VWs? cos I don't see why it wouldn't become the new skoda? I have no allegiance if I was getting another car as each generation of every maker produces gems and donkeys.

there is a corolation to an extent; ibiza - fabia, leon - octavia, Exeo - Superb, MII - City go

Skoda only charge what people will pay.

The days of cheap Skoda's are all but over.

They've shaken off the dodgy image and now churn out some pretty desirable cars.

Still, there are deals to be had, mainly when running Skoda Finance on a PCP or PCH.

In 2009 I paid £14,000 for my 6 month old Octavia Scout. To get in an equivement MkIII Scout now would cost me £20,000. A good chunk of that is inflation but the rest is down to the simple fact that Skoda's are not as cheap as they used to be.
