Haynes mk5 golf?

Am I right in thinking the mk5 golf is the same engine as the octavia petrol 1.8 - it's particularly engine sensors I'm interested in at the moment ... ?

Haynes manuals have gone seriously downhill since their heyday. Lousy grainy dark tiny pictures, insufficient wiring diagrams and on one hand, obvious DIY-repairs are deemed to difficult or ignored, while page after page is used for describing how to change main and conrod bearings as well as piston rings.

Only accept a Haynes manual as a gift, if the alternative is getting no gift.
