Power question

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Where the weather has suddenly dropped in temperature I've had a couple of 'wont start moment's!'

My furby is about 98000 miles in, and I'm thinking alternator replacement! The battery isn't even a year old yet!

Next question, new or used?

Does your battery light come on when you turn ignition on?

?? Don't think so! Just the normal lights!

Check that, 'cos it should.

If it doesn't, the fault is some wiring, not battery or alternator, in all likelihood.

I checked it today as I remembered! No it doesn't! #confused!

Common fault, the wires break down where they run along behind rad, near a multiplug.

Plenty of threads on here about it.

as above..................

BUT look very closely at the plug as the wires look as if they are ok going into the rubber seals , but they break there, I think because they did not allow the wire to hang in a loop lower than the plug, so any moisture on the wire runs into the seal & corrodes the wire at that point........very clever...........
