Just browsing the United Kingdom site and also the Slovak site and their are some subtle and other quite obvious differences in spec options.

 

There is no option of a G-TEC 1.4TSI with CNG here in the UK.  Does anyone have any first hand experience of this?  I was very briefly considering it for when I'm out in Slovakia, but I wanted a RS230 and also there are only about 10CNG filling stations in the whole country, which is far from ideal.  Would have been a viable alternative though, but diesel still works out cheaper I think in the long run.

 

1.8TSI is only limited to L&K spec in UK, over there it is available in lower spec cars too.

 

Also, I've seen a few photos of a few yellow octavia 3s, but this colour is not an option anywhere I've seen.  Has it been discontinued?

 

Also in Slovakia could have had the option of Webasto heating, couldn't find it in the UK price list.

 

From what I can see, Czech and Slovak dealers get pretty much everything that exists as an option and other countries are more limited.

The impression I get from reading this forum, is that the cars with the steering on the right side gets the short straw.

Scandinavian cars can spec everything, and we get the 1.8 both as elegance(se-l?) and 4x4.

And the Webasto is loooovely!
