1.2TSI engine shaking after 1500 rpm

Featured Replies

Hello,

I own monte carlo 2012 1.2tsi manual fabia with 55000km.

recently I started to feel that the car is shaking while I hit the gas pedal  relatively hard while it is under 1500 rpm.

When the rpm is between 1500 and 2100 rpm I feel she shakes and then they are gone.

I checked for faults with the VAG-COM but found nothing, no check engine or other indicators either.

does this engine have dual mass flywheel? as the symptoms pretty much match a sloppy DMF

After a quick search on the internet I found that I probably have the DMF indeed. Can I some how inspect the problem before going to the garage? also, does the DMF has to be replaced or there are eny other options?

My Fabia II have same symptoms. Mechanic said I need replace the DMS and the clutch kit. What was the problem in your case?

I replaced the spark plugs and the problem gone. Actually, I had to replace them already according to the manual.

After that, now shaking at all even then hitting the pedal hard on low revs.
