Going to remove my EGR valve this weekend, do I need a new gasket(s) if I am going to put it back on?

If so does anyone have part numbers

Also what is best for cleaning it (carb cleaner/brake cleaner)

I didn't replace the seal when I cleaned mine and never had problems, probably done around 20 or so now!

I normally use a big screwdriver to scrape the big chunks away and then a smaller paint brush and small tub of brake cleaner to scrub the rest away.

I tend to prise the egr valve open once it's quite clean to clean more of the slider part and the part that closes and makes a seal inside.

Cheers, not sure if it needs doing, I have no records of it ever being cleaned and it had a full dealer history when I bought it and have put on 12k since I got it and it had done quite a bit of stop start Manchester traffic so though might as well give it a quick clean.
