Matte black clear coat

Featured Replies

I recently posted on here trying to find a solution to a wiring problem, I'm pleased to say that after A LOT of hassle it's finally back to how it was intended to be and is nice and original and the build is going along at a steady pace. Early today I got the spoiler off my Fabia vRS, because it needs some love, to paint it because it's faded and weather beaten, I'm going with a matte black and was wondering whether or not to clear coat it or whether it actually matters? Would be great to get some advice, thank you.

Varnishes (clear coats) don't usually contain flatting agents, and when they so, they need mixing very thoroughly to get an even matte finish, sometimes even needing remixed during painting.
