Hi grant,

Poor boys is OK as a wheel sealant. As far as paste wheel sealants and wheel waxes go they'll last around 3-4 months In my experience, that was using FK1000P as a sealant on my wheels.

If you are looking for extended durability (1-2 years) I'd be looking at a ceramic coatings.. Gtechniq C5 wheel armour - KKD R-evolve X or Car Pro Dlux.

Hope this helps.

Hi Grant

There are many available

The Ceramic types like Carbon Collective Platinum and GTechniq C5 promises over 12 months of protection

Other paste sealants like Poorboys Wheel Sealant and Wheel Whores, a few weeks to a few months

There are so so many that youre going to get many people recommending their favourite

Have a look here and do some research:

I would agree with you on this Karl.

Poorboys is "OK", but I sold it on as I didn't think it was that easy to use and didn't provide amazing results - IMO.

Currently using Angelwax Bilberry wheel wax on mine - which is much easier to use.

As stated - FK1000p is a great all round purchase for wheels and paint.

...both the above with regular Sonax BSD applied upon maintenance washes - great results.

But if you want longer term durability - look into ceramic coatings of course.

I've currently got poorboys wheel sealant on mine plus collinite476s. It's ok and wheels are easier to clean. I've also done this on my winter wheels and so far after 2 weeks of driving the brake dust just jet washed off. I've opted for Carbon Collective's platinum on my wheels as soon as I've got a chance to take them off, I'll be doing my xtremes with this possible over this weekend.
