Do I need to torque up the gearbox mount bolts? Help guys

Featured Replies

My gearbox mount is weak I will be changing it later on can anyone shed some light on weather I need to use a torque wrench to tighten up the bolts or if I make them tight as I can get them by hand will that be good enough?

Help please guys!

You seem to think that a torque wrench is for tightening bolts more than is possible by hand.

Not so. It's just a measuring device that allows you to tighten bolts to a known amount. This helps to reduce the chances of under- or over-tightening the bolt.
