New car protection

Featured Replies

Very simple to use - spray on, wipe on and walk away. It's that simple.

You could use on wheels if you want or try a dedicated wheel sealant - Carbon Collective Platinum Wheel sealant for instance.

Thanks coops. I thought somebody would of used it at some point! :)

Sorry not replying and it appearing blunt

Didn't have time..It was a slight crisis..Now sorted

Looks like its been well answered by you guys already though

Optiseal is very very good and perhaps the easiest sealant you can ever apply

It doesn't even need buffing off s said

Ive used it many time, particularly on wheels

Personally I would clay bar it yes. With a soft clay. Shouldn't need an hard clay with it been new as you say but if your going all out I would do it.

Recommend a decent polish?

I'm on holiday a month after i pick the car up so should have a nice sunny day sometime in April lol. Can't wait to get the car and then can't wait clean it! I'm worse than a kid at Christmas at the moment lol.

Polish - Depends on what you want to achieve. If you want to remove swirls I use meguires M205 on a green pad with a dual action polisher.

There's loads of polishes out there though.

If you want to mask the defects you'll be looking at somethimg along the lines of Auto Glym Super resin polish to use by hand.. again full of fillers and a lot of filling polishes out there known as an 'all in one' :)

II recommend an All in One Polish for a new car..ie...slightly abrasive, with a slight sealer, then apply wax over the top

Carlack68 is perfect
