Superb III Bluetooth, HFP and rSAP capability

Featured Replies

Currently the owner of 2.0 TDI 170 2012 Elegance, have ordered an L&K 2.0 TDI 190 Hatch for delivery end of February next year.

I've specified neither the Bluetooth 'phonebox' nor the premium WiFi LAN factory fitted options, will the car in its existing form pair with my (Samsung Galaxy S4 on O2) phone using the rSAP profile as it does currently with the Elegance above? I ask this now in case I need to speak to the dealer, Sinclair Skoda Swansea to add options to make this so before the build is locked down.

regards

Chris C

Your answer is yes to both rSAP and Bluetooth. This link shows what is and isn't compatible with your phone.

The BT Phonebox allows passive connection to an external aerial, allegedly boosting the signal up to 20%, but no other advantage in having it.

The premium WiFi LAN adds a SIM slot so you can turn your car into a mobile phone or hotspot using a phone or data SIM. If your phone supports tethering then you probably won't have need of it.

Many thanks for your swift reply, looking forward to delivery more than ever.

Useful link that.

Although not specified by the OP, the Columbus does come with some form of integrated WiFi (if another SIM is added?)
