Front brake pads from factory Octavia 2007 2.0 TDI 140

Featured Replies

hey guys,

I must change front brake pads because they are so hard they don't even wear and they are wearing the discs instead of the pads. Rear wheels get that black dust from pads and front wheels gets nothing, stay clean. besides, after changing the front pads to this actual set, the brakes start to making noise and rattle in paved pavement (don't know if it's called like this in english) and the braking became poor.

My question is, what's the brand that this car brings from factory? ATE? Bosch? VW/Audi brand (symbols in the pads)?

I appreciate your help.

Cheers

TRW is the make of the factory pads but TRW are not allowed to produce an aftermarket pad with the exact same compound as the standard Skoda (VAG) branded pads.

TPS or a Skoda main dealer are the only place to get these pads from. You can also buy cheaper genuine pads from TPS which are a slightly dif compound but are genuine so still fit 100% and still have 2 years warranty (warranty on wear + tear items covers parts breaking but NOT wear + tear obviously)
