For sale, my Fabia vRS which was also Eibach’s project car,  featured in Nov.14 and Jan.15 issues of PVW. If you went to GTI international, Trax, Audi Driver International or the Performance VAG tuning show this year you may have seen this car (and perhaps also myself) on the Eibach stand. It has fulfilled its role demonstrating our aftermarket products at these shows and it is now time sell as we find new projects for the coming year. There has been a significant amount of work done on this vehicle to showcase Eibach suspension components as well as many other products from well-known performance companies. The brief for this project was to make a fun and reliable performance daily driver and I have had great time commuting to work in it for the last couple of years. All performance related fitment work and engine remapping was undertaken at Shark Performance, whilst the interior work was undertaken at Cobra. The engine is remapped to 172bhp which feels more than adequate for its commuting task. However, the car is also incredibly suitable for those interested in fitting an uprated turbo as the rest of the package is there to help realise and make the most of more power, including full Eibach suspension, aftermarket FMIC, exhaust, induction kit, performance wheels and big brakes.

Cambelt, water pump, clutch replaced 93,186 miles

Full 12 months MOT, dated 18/12/15.

Eibach Pro-Street-S coilovers (-35mm to – 65mm ride height adjustment), custom coated green springs

Eibach front anti-roll bar, custom coated green

Eibach 12mm front wheel spacers (24mm track increase)

Eibach 15mm rear wheel spacers (30mm track increase)

Eibach EZ-Shim pro-alignment kit to tune rear camber

SuperPro’s Fabia full chassis suspension bush kit including front control arm offset bush setup for increased castor.

Four wheel alignment geo-setup carried out

Tarox B30 six-piston calipers in brilliant green using 114 Corsa brake pads and 28 x 325mm grooved discs

 

Wheels and Tyres

Team Dynamics Pro-Race 5 alloy wheels. Size 7x17” with ET38 offset (8kg each)

Toyo T1-R 205/40 ZR17 (fronts are new, rears are in good condition)

 

Interior

Cobra flagship Misano seats from the Sports range. A hybrid composite reclining seat using a carbon fibre back and steel construction (12kg each). Seats are bespoke stitched in green on the perimeter seam, with Eibach Logos embroidered into the head rests. The seat centres are cross quilted in Dinamica with E-leather surround

Rear seats re-trimmed by Cobra to match the front seats.

Autostyle bespoke car mats with original fitting points, with green binding.

 

Exterior

Newer version badges front and rear

Plastic coated black front grill

Body shop cosmetic show preparation including all panel inspection, minor de-dent and machine polish.

Lamin-X 12% smoke protection film on the front headlights and fog lights.

In July 2014 the cam belt failed 10,000 miles into being replaced (at vehicle mileage 93186 miles) resulting in a snapped tensioner bolt seized in the block and some bent valves. It was decided that a replacement bare engine would be the best option and an ASZ code engine was sourced at 75,000 miles. The engine was fitted at a Listers VW dealership at which point a few further parts were replaced including a new water pump and clutch. Consequently, the bare engine has covered ~18,000 less than the vehicle. I hope this helps.

That looks awesome, and I am looking for a SE (was looking ). Some serious time and money gone into it, not sure how it would cope with all the mini-speed bumps at my place of work though.

Actually I hadn't gone through that exercise, but I thought it would also be interesting to look at new purchase costs for those parts. I understand completely though that selling a car doesn't work like that!

That looks awesome, and I am looking for a SE (was looking ). Some serious time and money gone into it, not sure how it would cope with all the mini-speed bumps at my place of work though.

The coilovers are adjustable - I could set it to your perfect ride height! (providing it was within the range -35mm to -65mm). Actually the car is currently 12mm higher at the front than shown in the pictures This results in a more compliant ride as the bump stops engage less often. 

Those seats are awesome, car looks great. Glwts

It was exactly as the pictures made it out to be, and the whole combo of brakes, engine and suspension work so, so well together. Brilliant set-up and a credit to those concerned in producing it.
