Skoda Swing Radio - USB upgrade required

Featured Replies

Hi there, I am new to the group, so apologies if this has been posted before - I did have a quick look.

After 15 years driving company cars, I have had to take the plunge and have picked up a nice 11 plate 1.2 TSI SE ( 105 bhp )...

My only grimace is that the radio is quite basic and I really wanted to have a USB connection and possibly handsfree... apart from changing the radio, what are my options ?

thanks in advance.....

Adding MDI into the glove box will give you that (:

If your car doesn't have MDI under the glove-box you could install it your self if you otherwise like/don't mind the Swing radio I have an MDI module for sale if you're interested the only thing is if the loom is connected the sound from the aux port isn't very good, I don't know if it's a problem with just this loom or all of them but if you don't use the aux port it doesn't matter and I never had any other problems with it. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/374732-mdi-module-and-loom/

For the hands free you would have to have something like this: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/347462-vw-touch-music-bluetooth-kit-brand-new-in-box/

Or you would have the option of changing the radio and using an SD card instead but depending on what radio you got you would still have to get a Bluetooth module to go with it.
