It had to happen....

My town has it's first Octy 2 taxi  No longer will I suffer looks of jealousy when I drive past the rank at Asda. Soon every taxi driver in Peterlee will have one!

I have seen a few Octy 2 taxis in Hartlepool but it's the first one a company has in Peterlee

As an aside, how long has the MK2 been available who was the first / has the oldest on here?

We've got a few Octy taxis in Oldbury, West Mids, but they are lowline with side repeaters in the wings rather than door mirrors.

The Octy II was launched in Sep '04 (I think!) and I bought mine Mid November 04 and lovin' it ever since!!

And now an Octavia II police car (unmarked), with concealed blue lights everywhere, on M40 patrol near High Wycombe. It's the dark metallic grey (can't remember the correct name, but you know the colour I mean). Didn't get a chance to see the model (whether VRS or standard), but on "55" plates. Went past me at goodness-knows what speed (I was on 80-ish) and pulled the berk in an old Merc who was making a total a**hole of himself, undertaking etc in fast, heavy traffic. Excellent! Blues in tail light cluster, rear window, front grille etc. Watch out, guys!

Mine's probably one if the first. July 04 order, sept 04 delivery.

There are at least two Octy II Taxi's in Redcar, one parks at the end of my road. Wife goes nuts, 'you've bought a bloody taxi"' Thought she would be used to it, my other car is an Avensis!
