Hello to all,

new to this forum as have now traded up to a Fabia 2008 1.9TDi PD2. I say traded up because I have just part exe'd my 2004 Mercedes C220Cdi estate which has been a pain in the **** !

Dashboard clicking from faulty flaps on aircon/heater unit, £700 to fix and dreaded DPF constantly getting clogged, didn't fix any of the two faults just decided to part exe for a Fabia.

Drove the little Fabia 1.9Tdi on Saturday and was very impressed. It's an 08 model with 33k on it. Pulled like a train and was very comfortable and no DPF !

Comes with a three month warranty and although the driver's door was saying it was constantly open on the dashboard readout everything else was fine.

I had the Merc remapped and will do the same for the Fabia as I think it will transform the car in a good way.

New MOT on it and the fault being fixed Monday.

After yonks of research this seems the better car to have as the engines are proven and there is scope for high mileage without problems. Do a few runs from Devon to Lowestoft.

Looking forward to many miles.

Now, I need a set of rubber floor mats.......
