Columbus and Google Earth

Featured Replies

I've recently taken a Golf GTD for a test drive and noticed that within the DNS Pro (aka Columbus) navigation menu there was a setting regarding Google Earth.

Unfortunately as this was a new car, the online (carnet?) features hadn't been activated so I couldn't see it in action but is there a similar or better feature on the Superb?

Is it akin to a wannabe virtual cockpit?

That looks really cool !

Very cool, except it doesn't show the oncoming traffic you're about to run into........or is the red dot the estimated collision point? ;-)

Maybe I should have said that the Virtual Cockpit isn't available in the Golf but it was the only photo I could find that showed the Google Earth (it even has Street View available too) in action!

Imagine if you could play GTA on it while driving :-D

That's VW pulling rank over Skoda. If they had this in the Superb/Octavia who'd buy a Golf/Passat??
