Hi, had this problem after a clip broke on my intercooler return pipe just before the overboost sensor.oil pressure warning light came on straight away also engine management light also traction light I replaced the clip but now when the engine gets warm i get All three warning lights on plus engine goes into safety mode,does anybody have any suggestions what might be the problem.

You have uncleared fault codes that put your engine into limp mode. Fixing the actual fault does not clear the EMS fault memory.

Hi, thank you for your reply we have a vag fault code reader and no faults are logged also garage next door has a snap on generic reader also no codes problem seems to go when engine is cold but everything seems to happen when it gets hot also today got a emission message also one time this week rev counter stopped working on top of all other warning lights.

Hi, problem solved! I was able to connect fault code reader as soon as the problem happened got a P0726 code engine speed sensor,quite a tricky job its at a funny angle and not much room to work. I really like this forum what a help.
