Bolero volume lowering itself automatically?!

Featured Replies

I noticed that Bolero volume sometimes seems to lower itself by a notch on its own.

For example, I set a certain volume and then all of a sudden the music seems to be playing at a slightly lower volume than I originally set it.

At first I thought it was just me "mishearing" things, but then it has happened on more than a couple occasions now, which makes me wonder what seems to be the problem. I mean, it's not a big issue or anything... but still.

Could it possibly be related to the automatic dimming function of the instrument cluster??

Has anyone else noticed anything similar?

P.S.: yesterday I noticed another strange thing: I was driving, keeping my hands on the wheel and not touching any buttons, when all of a sudden I hear beeping as though I was tapping on the Bolero screen. When I looked at the screen I saw the "Repeat" button pressed several times (I believe there was a number 2 on it, so I guess repeat the song 2 times?). Anyway, why would it press itself on its own?!

I have noticed similar, but have assumed it is speed related.

Ah, now that you mention it: I believe there is indeed an option in Bolero settings to adjust the volume automatically according to the speed. :)

I'll check it tonight.

There's an auto volume +/- around 100 kph. I have a MIB1 Amundsen, but I guess it's the same with the Bolero.

And you probably have a faulty touchscreen or a ghost in your car. :)

+1 the car has GALA which is basically speed sensitive volume....depending on how high you have the setting depends on the effect.....4 and above it can be quite obvious.....turning it down to zero obviously disables it.

I think mine is on 4 (which i think is the default) and cant say that I really notice it.

Have you tried cleaning the screen with microfibre cloth, sometimes previous finger prints can affect the screen, especially in the cold.

+1 to adaptive speed volume

I've never actually cleaned my touchscreen and zero problems with it (102k kms on the clock).

You must have no fingerprints lol some screens may be a little more sensitive than others, dirtier fingers etc. worth a try

maybe it has some overheating protection. On a very hot day this summer in Greece, the max volume was about 30%.
