Started with both indicator lights coming on but only on dashboard, not affecting external indicators, now water temperature red light comes on but water level is OK and temperature gauge does not indicate any overheating.

Any clues what this can be ?

Are the dash lights in question on at full brightness, or are they dimmer than usual?

 

There have been a few threads recently with failing dash pods, whereby random warning lights appear but at reduced brightness.
