fitting bixenon lenses on standard headlights

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Has anybody tried to fit bixenon lenses on standard halogen headlights? I've heard only but good things about Morimoto, but I'm not so sure how they work. I've found kits for less than £50, which would cheap compared to a set of new or even used headlights.

Have a look at HID planet or Planet HID forums....

Usually, these kits require that the headlight is split, removing the front glass. Then DIYing the interior to fit the bixenon projector. Then resealing the headlight.

The cheaper kits may simply have a rebased HID bulb with a movable shroud (unless I made that up)....

I have seen a lot of very cheap motorcycle kits around. Though motorcycles are effectively consumable items..... Almost as much as their riders. :)
