Can anyone recommend somewhere decent where I can pick a recondition turbo for my 2.0 PD Octy?

A lot of retailers tend to use eBay these days.

My car has just started going into limp mode especially when joining the motorway (nothing on the dash to say there is an issue/swithing the engine off and on agains seems to remedy the situation) have scanned it with VCDS and I'm getting the following error code:

 

16618 - Boost Pressure Regulation 

            P0234 - 000 - Limit Exceeded (Overboost Condition)

             Freeze Frame:

                    RPM: 2478 /min

                    Torque: 360.0 Nm

                    Speed: 128.0 km/h

                    Load: 78.8 %

                    Voltage: 14.14 V

                    Bin. Bits: 00101000

                    Absolute Pres.: 2335.8 mbar

                    Absolute Pres.: 2590.8 mbar

 

 

Have not tried any cleaning solutions not sure if they are worth it at all.

try some dedicated turbo cleaners first before splashing out on a new turbo, as it may be to be clogged up turbo vanes
