Front parking sensors.

Featured Replies

My wife has a 2015, Mk 3 Fabia and she wants front parking sensors to be fitted.

The car has factory fitted rear sensors.

Can anyone offer advice on fitting these sensors and brand / type used ?

Do Skoda offer a DIY kit for this car ?

I have fitted parking kits on various cars and vans that I have owned in the past, but never on a brand new vehicle, hence my caution !

Has anyone used a specialist parking sensor, but and fit company, that they could recommend ?  I see on the internet there are various companies around.

Thank you.

I asked Skoda about fitting a dashcam and if it affected the warranty I was lucky and got someone sensible to talk to. Skoda don't fit them so if you made a warranty claim (say an electrical fault) and it was found that the dashcam had caused the problem you would have to claim against either the fitter or the dashcam maker. I would check with Skoda first especially if you intend to fit them yourself. I would suspect that since its a Skoda option the main dealer would be able to fit it at some exorbitant cost and get it in writing that the warranty would not be affected. I am getting very cynical in my old age. Joe

PS the rear parking sensors failed on my old mk1 1.9 estate but they were not connected to the cars computer they wanted about £800 to fit a new system I did not botherthe car was 8 yrs old
