Hi Folks

 

My name is Iain and I live in Central Scotland. I've just ordered my first Skoda, an Octavia Scout (the 150bhp manual) on a 2 year personal lease. Not sure when it will be arriving (6-7 weeks is the best guess so far) and it will be either Race Blue or Cappuccino Beige- long story but no Cappuccino cars due to be build so they are ordering and then trying to change the colour for me before the build- if not I like the Race Blue in any case). Really looking forward to getting my "thinking man's Audi". Looking forward to learning the r=tricks of the trade through the forum too!

Hello Iain

I have just received my DSG 185ps in White on a 2 year personnel lease deal. I am so disappointed. Having just come off my last 2 new vrs, I have to say, I have made a mistake. No led lights, bi xenon, window trim and flappy paddles. I am so pleased I decided to lease. I am amazed skoda have cut so many corners on this model, it could have been great. Only saving grace, it did snow two weeks ago, cars stuck on the hills and this just went round everything as if the roads were dry.

Sorry that you are disappointed. I didn't expect any of those items as they are all cost options on the Scout, and adding them over a 2 year lease didn't make economic sense for me. I'm happy with the basic spec of the car. As I'm moving over from another manufacturer, I have no direct comparison.
