Thinking of getting a digital Dragon Tuning box for my fabia VRS.

When I first bought the car I tried a digital unit from a different company and didn't like the results, the power delivery was very fierce and it caused an awful lot of smoke.

The dragon seems to have a good reputation. I was wondering if anyone who has one could tell me how they get on with it, and also does it affect the fuel compsumption readout. The other unit I tried had the additional affect of confusing it so that it was very optimistic, it was reading over 70MPG average which was well out.

The Dragon is adjustable and I think they recommend running it on 11 as a compromise between performance and smoke. It plugs into the fuel temp sensor so the ECU should still know how much fuel is being injected into the cylinders

I found that with a tuning box on the mpg actually increased as for normal driving I was able to use a higher gear thanks to all the extra power and torque. Didn't ever see above 70mpg though (well not unless SWMBO was driving )
