Mk1 Octavia battery drain

Featured Replies

Am sure this has been covered several times, new battery on my octavia and all well. Been having central locking problems for a couple of weeks amd was getting right cheesed off with it. Left car for 2 days to find new battery dead. When Green Flag jumped it and she started, all the central locking and door control stuff seems to have sorted itself out!! Tests show 0.3 amp drain witn everything switched off, just was after idea's of which bits to check first such as brake light switch etc. Thanks joe

Mine happened to be the brake light switch faulty which was sticking, also drained my battery with 2-3 days. Fitted a new one for about 8 quid and its been fine since.
