Fuel prices a la frog

Featured Replies

Santa arrives a little late here diesel 70p/litre, petrol 91p/litre,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,how good is that!

Yea, not like greedy UK rip-off. The wholesale price of diesel is 4p cheaper than petrol but they are charging more, typical.... :dull:

As a Tanker of Fuel arrives at a Independent Filling Station in the UK and the person paying for that tanker of fuel is the Diesel

they are buying 4 pence a litre less than the Unleaded Petrol they have delivered?

Sorry, I am confused.

Articles in the news on Average Wholesale Prices really do not take into account National / Supermarket owned Retailers and

Small Private and Independent Retailers and what prices they pay on the day compared to Long Term Large Bulk buys.

So saying 4 Pence a litre price difference can mislead.

There are so many reasons that the Big Players can have fuels that they can sell at lower prices depending how and when they buy it on the market.

Like in the winter 2012/13
