Hi all my egr seams to be leaking a black oily goo. Does it just need a good clean & refit

Soz should have said it's a 1.9tdi

yes unless it's from the breather holes  in which case it needs a replacement or "Wingnut stealth mod"   do NOT block the holes

Thanks I'll give it a clean in the new year. If not they seem to be around £40 to replace so not too much heartache
